A growing West Michigan company is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead its people strategy and support continued organizational growth. Reporting directly to the President, this role serves as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance, and organizational development. The ideal candidate is a relationship-focused HR leader who enjoys coaching managers, solving complex employee issues, and fostering a positive workplace culture while implementing systems that support long-term success.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and employer branding initiatives.
- Partner with managers on employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Develop supervisors through coaching, leadership training, and performance management processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, ESTA, Workers' Compensation, and other employment regulations.
- Oversee onboarding, benefits administration, HRIS, employee records, and HR reporting.
- Champion employee engagement, recognition, retention, and company culture initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership to support organizational growth and continuous improvement.

- Compensation: $75,000-$85,000/YR.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Five or more years of progressive human resources experience.
- Experience with employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations, and employment law compliance.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with the ability to build trust at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and work independently.
- Experience recruiting both hourly and management-level employees preferred.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
- Experience supporting multi-site operations, service-based organizations, or organizations with 150+ employees preferred.
