Job summary

Veza Manufacturing, LLC is seeking an on-site HR Generalist at our Grand Rapids plant to handle employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and engagement. This role offers a clear path to grow into an HRBP over time and provides hands-on ownership of HR fundamentals within a manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates are early in their HR career, eager to develop, and ready to work closely with plant leadership to align people programs with operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 0–3 years of HR experience; manufacturing or plant environment is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment; comfortable with direct conversations.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Familiarity with HRIS/payroll systems; Paylocity experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted, approachable point of contact for employees and plant leadership on day-to-day HR matters.
• Support employee relations—help resolve concerns, answer policy questions, and escalate issues as needed.
• Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles at the plant, from posting through offer.
• Own the onboarding experience for new hires to ensure a smooth, welcoming start.
• Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and plant culture efforts.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with policy and employment law.
• Partner with plant leadership on workforce needs and grow into a broader HRBP role with experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
