Job Description

Human Resource Manager – PB Fasteners

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the HR department with an employee-focused approach, overseeing all HR practices and processes locally.
  • Manage employee relations, performance management, training & development, leave of absence, compliance, and talent management.
  • Develop departmental goals in partnership with management and monitor HR strategies and metrics.
  • Foster a positive work environment, improve morale, and promote employee engagement.
  • Handle complex employee relations issues and conduct investigations.
  • Ensure legal compliance and reduce risks related to employment laws.
  • Identify training needs through job analysis, performance reviews, and management consultations.
  • Oversee all leave of absence processes, including worker’s compensation.
  • Partner with Environmental Health and Safety to ensure OSHA compliance.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or HR management required; Master’s preferred.
  • 1-3 years of HR Manager experience, 3-5 years as HR Generalist.
  • Experience in manufacturing preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in HR strategy development and implementation.
  • Deep knowledge of CA labor law, Wage and Hour laws, and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems like Workday and ADP, and MS Office.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team within a manufacturing environment.
