POSITION SUMMARY:

With limited and general direction from an Area Director, Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager acts as a business partner with the local management team to effectively manage the human resources function for assigned division(s) while maintaining compliance with industry regulatory agencies and company programs. In addition to administering staffing, training, employee relations, compliance, benefits, and compensation programs at the local level, this role is actively engaged with the implementation of strategic Human Resources initiatives.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Provides human resources advice and consultation to employees and management, including coaching and counseling on performance management issues, conflict management, interpretation of employment policies, and resolution.
  2. Implements, disseminates, and monitors company policies, programs, and procedures in training, compensation, compliance, and benefits to attract, retain, and motivate employees.
  3. Oversees recording and maintenance of employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and employment terminations.
  4. Monitors division compliance with federal, state, and local laws relating to equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, unemployment compensation, and other employment-related requirements.
  5. Coordinates with division operations and HR staff regarding all employment activities within the division.
  6. Assists in conducting investigations regarding employee complaints and concerns.
  7. Participates in management meetings and influences personnel decisions.
  8. Coaches and counsels managers on performance management.
  9. Identifies training needs and develops and conducts training sessions, including new hire orientation and leadership training.
  10. Performs HR audits for specific locations.
  11. Implements succession planning and talent management to support leadership development.
  12. May oversee HR staff and administrative staff.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned; travel up to 60% may be required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to impact and influence all levels of the company.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager involved in all HR aspects.
