Job summary

MPI, a leading construction company, seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager to drive HR strategy and lead all HR functions across field and corporate operations. The role partners with leadership to shape talent acquisition, engagement, workforce planning, and development initiatives that support growth and operational excellence.

The Successful Applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, 5+ years in HR, strong employment law knowledge, and HR certifications are

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within construction, industrial, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting both office and field-based employees.
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.
  • Experience in a multi-site construction environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all human resources activities including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and compliance.
  • Partner with operational leaders to support workforce planning, performance management, and organizational development.
  • Develop and implement talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Manage employee relations matters, investigations, coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Oversee benefits administration, compensation programs, HR policies, and payroll coordination.
  • Lead employee engagement, training, leadership development, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Track HR metrics and identify opportunities to improve workforce effectiveness and employee satisfaction.

A successful Human Resources Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within construction, industrial, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting both office and field-based employees.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.
  • Experience in a multi-site construction environment is a plus.
