The HR Manager is responsible for supporting a broad range of human resource functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits administration, leave management, performance management, compliance, and HR operations. This position serves as a resource to employees and leaders, helping to ensure consistent application of company policies, a positive employee experience, and compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Employee Relations & HR Support
- Serve as a resource to employees and supervisors regarding company policies, procedures, benefits, and employment-related matters.
- Assist with employee relations issues, disciplinary actions, performance concerns, and conflict resolution.
- Maintain confidentiality of all employee, company, and department information.
- Support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
Onboarding & Employee Administration
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
- Ensure completion and compliance of all pre-employment and new hire documentation, including I-9 verification and E-Verify requirements.
- Prepare, maintain, and audit employee personnel files and onboarding records.
Benefits & Leave Administration
- Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
- Coordinate annual Open Enrollment activities and employee benefit communications.
- Process benefit enrollments, changes, terminations, and invoice reconciliations.
- Administer COBRA notifications and maintain related documentation.
- Assist employees with questions regarding benefits, FMLA, ADA accommodations, and STD/LTD.
- Conduct periodic audits of benefit programs and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Compliance & HR Administration
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
- Process employee status changes, terminations, and related HR documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS and other company systems.
- Prepare reports and monitor HR metrics, attendance trends, turnover, and workforce data.
- Support audits and compliance initiatives as required.
- Process unemployment claims, hearings, and related correspondence.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within Human Resources.
People Management
- Oversee team of HR Professionals
General
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Support coordination of legal counsel on varies matters

- Experience with UKG, Global Shop ERP, or similar HR/payroll systems preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 Years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Primary work will be conducted in an on-site office building located on a manufacturing site.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when in the plant environment
- Safety-sensitive position; subject to pre-employment and reasonable-suspicion drug testing
