Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead HR projects under guidance; develop plans, track milestones, and deliver results within timelines.
  • Evaluate HR processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and employee experience.
  • Collect and analyze HR data; develop reports, dashboards, or presentations.
  • Support HRIS, data quality, compliance, audit, and documentation initiatives.
  • Complete at least one internship project from discovery through implementation with stakeholders.

Summary

The Human Resources Intern supports HR initiatives focused on improving processes, employee experience, data quality, and operational effectiveness. This project-based internship provides hands‑on experience in HR operations, analytics, technology, process improvement, and project management. The intern will own assigned projects from research and discovery through recommendations and implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead assigned HR projects under the guidance of HR leadership, including developing project plans, coordinating activities, tracking milestones, and delivering results within established timelines
  • Evaluate HR processes and employee lifecycle activities to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness
  • Collect, validate, and analyze HR data to identify trends, measure performance, support decision-making, and develop reports, dashboards, or presentations
  • Support HRIS, data quality, compliance, audit, and documentation initiatives, including process mapping, system testing, issue tracking, procedures, templates, and other HR resources
  • Complete at least one significant internship project from discovery through recommendation or implementation, collaborating with stakeholders and presenting findings, business impact, and recommended next steps to HR leadership
Education and Experience
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Sophomore, junior, or senior standing preferred
  • Previous HR, project management, process improvement, business operations, or data analysis experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with Excel, reporting, dashboards, process mapping, or data analysis is a plus

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
