Job summary

International Leadership of Texas is seeking an HRIS Specialist to maintain, enhance, and support the HRIS to ensure accurate employee data and effective reporting across the district.

The role serves as the primary resource for HR data integrity, supports HR operations and school leadership by leveraging HR technology to provide reliable data for strategic personnel decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3 years of clerical school district experience preferred
  • 6+ months’ experience in Human Resources or similar setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Enter new employee assignments into the HRIS system.
  • Update and maintain position control and assignments for every employee.
  • Work cross collaboratively with other departments/campuses within the District.
  • Handle routine Human Resources inquiries to ensure a high level of customer service and
  • Actively participate in Charter, department, team, and one-on-one check ins/activities.
  • Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.
  • Prepares correspondence, forms, and reports according to district standards and requirements.

Primary Purpose

The HRIS Specialist is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and supporting the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to ensure accurate and efficient management of employee data within the educational institution. This role serves as the primary resource for HR data integrity and reporting. The HRIS Specialist supports HR operations and school leadership by leveraging HR technology to provide reliable data that informs strategic personnel decisions across the district.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred

  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational, teamwork, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and documents
  • Demonstrated task-oriented self-starter with the ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in keyboarding, spreadsheets, databases, data management, and information retrieval

Experience
  • 3 years of clerical school district experience preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties
  • Enter new employee assignments into the HRIS system.

  • Answer and respond to incoming calls, receive reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality with all compensation information and professional integrity.
  • All other duties assigned by supervisor, Director, and Executive Director of Human Resources
  • Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
  • Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
  • Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
  • Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
  • Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
  • Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; travel to support stakeholders/campuses as needed.
  • Working off Letter of Agreements during the summer months.
  • Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
