The Human Resource Generalist will administer the daily functions of the Human Resources (People Function) department with a focus on talent management responsibilities such as recruitment, performance management, training and learning, as well as enforcing company policies and practices. This position will support the HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The HR Generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping to plan and administer important functions. In addition to being organized and analytical, they possess strong business judgment, confidentiality, and communication skills needed to interact with a variety of people and job functions.

This is a full-time position where days and hours can vary Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern Time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, training and learning, performance and talent management.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Performs exit interviews and tracks trends of exiting employees.
  • Ensures that tickets placed within the HR service desk are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensures active monitoring of compliance required staff training.
  • Establishes and administers quarterly learning and development activities, ensuring alignment with organizational and departmental strategic goals.
  • Responds to requests for compensation analysis.
  • Manages MIHIN recruitment, conducting intake meetings with hiring managers, posting job openings, completing phone screens and participating in interviews with hiring team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • At least three years of human resources experience, including demonstrated experience with recruitment and talent management responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work independently with a strong sense of time management and self-discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems, including UKG and LinkedIn Recruiter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field required.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP a plus.
  • Previous experience working in a remote setting preferred.

Direct reports: This position will supervise an intern(s).

Starting salary: $70,000 commensurate with experience and education.
