HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our growing HR team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our talent acquisition efforts by sourcing, screening, and managing candidates throughout the recruitment process. This position requires strong relationship management skills and an understanding of employment labor laws to ensure compliance and best practices in hiring.
Responsibilities
- Role models leadership competencies and coaches managers and employees on company values.
- Executes initiatives that foster productive and positive workplace environment and retention.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with federal, state and local employment laws.
- Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) to manage candidate pipelines effectively.
- Conduct thorough sourcing of candidates through various channels including job boards, social media, and networking events.
- Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates for open positions.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a smooth interview process.
- Assist in employee orientation programs to facilitate a positive onboarding experience for new hires.
- Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and candidate interactions within the ATS.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide tailored support.
- Assist in onboarding new employees, including coordinating orientation, preparing onboarding materials and ensuring completion of necessary documentation.
- Full understanding of HRIS systems, along with a working knowledge of Isolved payroll system, preferred.
- Assist in implementation of performance review and feedback processes.
- Interacting with our employees, coaching supervisors, and facilitating positive employee relations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration or related field.
- SHRM-CP, a plus.
- Experienced working with a wholesale supplier or distribution center preferred.
- Proven experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with ATS software, is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in HRIS software and Office 365 Suite.
- Strong understanding of HR sourcing techniques and interviewing best practices.
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to achieve individual goals.
- Detail-oriented with strong organization skills to manage multiple recruitment tasks simultaneously.
