Job summary

Generac is seeking an HR Generalist in Wisconsin to implement HR policies, support performance management and engage with employees. You will partner with Talent Acquisition for staffing and advise managers on employee relations and training.

The role requires a Bachelor's in HR (or equivalent), 2 years HR experience, fluency in Spanish, and a PHR certification. Workday experience is a plus. This position reports to the HR Director/Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field OR equivalent experience.
• 2 years of HR experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in Spanish; ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Workday experience and familiarity with HR processes.
• PHR certification preferred; recruiting for manufacturing roles.

Under the direction of the HR Director or HR Manager, the HR Generalist will implement and administer HR policies and programs concerning communication, performance management and recognition for employees. In addition, this role assists in managing the staffing process for selected business partners and collaborating with the Talent Acquisition Team. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and supports the HR department in implementing and maintaining HR policies and procedures. This position may support corporate events, employee orientations, employee engagement activities and other programs.

Major Responsibilities

• Partner with internal customer groups to ensure coordination of HR programs and processes within a specific business function or segment of the company.

• Implement and enforce programs and policies that drive employee engagement and performance.

• Act as a trusted advisor for supervisors and managers regarding employee relations, training and development of their teams.

• Administer compensation programs, salary planning, and job evaluations.

• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Team for staffing and to drive employment-branding initiatives.

• Ensure personal and company compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations; ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Coordinate and support training initiatives for employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field OR equivalent experience

Work Experience

• 2 years of HR experience within a fast-paced working environment.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

• Handle sensitive employee information and maintain confidentiality at all times

• Fluent in Spanish
