Hycroft Mining Holding Corporation is seeking an HR professional to manage payroll and related duties at our Winnemucca, NV site. The role supports recruitment, compliance, payroll processing, and HR data handling with discretion and confidentiality.

The candidate will partner with site HR and leadership to implement HR goals and processes, while maintaining accurate records and privacy. The position emphasizes collaboration, regulatory guidance, and proactive problem solving in a growing mining

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience supporting HR with payroll and/or payroll experience preferred.
• Degree or certificate in accounting, business administration, human resources, or a related field preferred.

• Assist with the recruiting of high-quality candidates in a set time frame, working together with recruiter, if required, to establish reliable sources and appropriate networks.

Hycroft Mining Holding Corporation is a US-based gold and silver mining company, which operates its wholly owned Hycroft open pit, gold, and silver mine located an hour southwest of Winnemucca, Nevada.

Job Description

Performs basic Human Resources related duties at the professional level and carries out responsibilities in some or all the following functional areas: recruitment, compliance, recognition, and payroll (time and attendance). Administers HR policies and procedures. Collects and analyzes HR data and assists the HR Manager with tasks as assigned. Most importantly, the ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with site HR and leadership to provide advice on HR regulatory issues
• Implement HR goals, processes, practices & systems to build organizational and people capability (e.g., staffing, performance management, training & development, employee relations)
• Supports workforce planning and forecasting initiatives in alignment with site and corporate processes and goals
• Implement cost effective and practical HR solutions while ensuring the ability to attract and retain required skills
• Assist with the recruiting of high-quality candidates in a set time frame, working together with recruiter, if required, to establish reliable sources and appropriate networks.

• Assist with projects and HR improvements as directed by leadership, facilitating change management, engagement, coaching and advising stakeholders
• Responsible for protecting and maintaining privacy of employee personnel records, including compensation information
• Meets or exceeds established performance expectations set by management
• Consistently exercises discretion and judgment in job performancePunctuality and regular attendance required
• Calculate and process payrolls.
• Performs reconciliation and audits the accuracy of company and employee payroll records.
• Assists with any internal and external audits including but not limited to tax audits, financial audits, 401k audits and workers’ compensation audits.
• Ensures compliance with applicable labor, state, and federal laws.
• General HR data entry and filing
• Perform other related functions as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience supporting HR with payroll and/or payroll experience preferred
• Degree or certificate in accounting, business administration, human resources, or a related field preferred

• Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct
• Payroll and timekeeping experience required
• Experience with Paylocity (HRIS) preferred.
• Exposure to the mining industry preferred
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage a high-volume workload
• Strong written communication, ability to communication in various forms to a variety of audiences, and math skills
• Proficient with all Microsoft tools required
• Professionalism, discretion, the ability to work with minimal supervision, ability to be flexible and respond to multiple demands and priorities in a company with rapid growth potential
• Requires valid driver’s license
