Job summary

Hycroft Mining Corporation is seeking a Database Administrator to support the Exploration team. You will verify sample submittals, liaise with labs on QA/QC, and load/validate assay data, providing drill data extractions as needed.

You will also support the Drill Services and Core Shed teams with tracking drilling rates and associated costs, including invoice validations and month-end accruals in a mining setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in data management related field. Experience with Excel and SQL related databases, and Power BI preferred
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Extreme attention to detail
• Able to work at remote mine site
• Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with key stakeholders and others across the property
• Driver’s license required
• High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Verify assay submittal forms, communicate with commercial labs for sample shipments, and reject returns weekly
• Assist core shed in sample preparation, geotechnical data collection, density or XRF data collection as needed
• Importing new data into corresponding database (assays, logging, field data, production data, core/chip photos)
• Review and report QA/QC performance, work with Exploration team and labs for sample re-run submittals and track progress
• Validate drilling and assay invoices, and prepare requisitions for Accounts Payable
• Assist with month end accruals support drill services with inventory control and data entry and reporting as needed
• Performing other duties as assigned

Hycroft Mining Corporation is a US-based gold and silver mining company, which operates its wholly owned Hycroft open pit, gold, and silver mine located an hour southwest of Winnemucca, Nevada.

Job Description

The Database Administrator reports to the Database Superintendent as part of the Exploration team. The Database Administrator will support the Database Superintendent, Drill Services, and Core Shed team as needed by verifying sample submittals, working with commercial assay labs on QAQC, loading/validating assay data, and providing drill data extractions as needed. Additionally, the Database Administrator will support the Drill Services and Core Shed teams with tracking and reporting on drilling rates and associated costs including invoice validations.
