Job summary

The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team in Wheaton, IL. The role focuses on recruitment, compensation analysis, employee relations, research, and HRIS administration to support our employees and policies.

You will collaborate with the HR team to guide personnel policies, employment laws, and recruitment, while also contributing to training and development initiatives that elevate public service HR practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 1-3 years in administrative role
• PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
• Strong knowledge of HR terminology and regulations (federal, state, local)
• Experience with compensation structures and salary survey data
• Proficient with MS Office, HRIS, and ATS systems

The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our Human Resources team located in Wheaton, IL. This position is well-suited for someone who has demonstrated experience in recruitment, compensation analysis, employee relations, research, training and development, and HRIS administration. The role will work collaboratively with the HR team and will serve a resource to all employees regarding personnel policies, employment laws, and recruitment.

Compensation

Starting pay: $59,883.00-$72,883.00 annually.
