Job summary

Meadow Gold Dairies Hawaii, LLC is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment.

The role partners with managers to foster a positive workplace culture, maintain HR policies, and ensure confidentiality across HR functions including benefits, payroll, and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, food production, distribution, or other operational environments preferred.
• Experience with recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
• HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with full-cycle recruiting activities, including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, reference checks, and onboarding.
• Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data; prepare reports and documentation.
• Assist with benefits enrollment, 401(k) programs, and payroll coordination.
• Support safety initiatives, workers' compensation, and leave management.
• Coordinate employee training programs and development activities.

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist who enjoys working closely with both employees and managers in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment.

The Human Resources Generalist provides day-to-day support for a variety of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, performance management, compliance, and employee engagement. This role works closely with managers and employees to support a positive workplace culture while ensuring HR policies and practices are consistently applied.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, organized, and approachable HR professional who can effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

• Assist with full-cycle recruiting activities, including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, reference checks, and onboarding.
• Support hiring managers in identifying staffing needs and recruiting qualified candidates.
• Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding activities.

Employee Relations

• Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.
• Assist with employee relations matters and support workplace investigations as needed.
• Support managers in addressing performance concerns and employee development opportunities.
• Help promote a positive and respectful work environment.

HR Administration & Compliance

• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Support the administration and communication of company policies and procedures.
• Prepare reports and maintain documentation as required.

Benefits, Leave & Payroll Support

• Assist employees with benefit enrollment and benefit-related questions.
• Support administration of medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) programs.
• Coordinate leave requests and related documentation.
• Work with payroll and management to ensure personnel changes are processed accurately.

Safety & Workers' Compensation

• Support company safety initiatives and employee wellness programs.
• Assist with workers' compensation administration and return-to-work processes.
• Maintain records related to workplace injuries and incidents.

Training & Employee Development

• Coordinate employee training programs and development activities.
• Support performance review processes and employee engagement initiatives.
• Assist with HR projects and organizational initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
• Occasional lifting of materials up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to work in both office, warehouse, and plant environments.
• Occasional travel between company locations as needed.

Salary Range - $65,000 - $75,000
