KVCAP is seeking a full-time Human Resources Coordinator who is positive, energetic, and detail-oriented to join our dynamic HR team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the full recruitment cycle, including scheduling and conducting interviews, onboarding new employees, and supporting various HR functions across all departments. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in human resources or office administration to contribute to a mission-driven organization. The HR Coordinator will also provide support to other team members, ensuring smooth HR operations and fostering a welcoming environment for current and prospective staff members.
The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with diverse populations. A minimum of five to seven years of office experience is required, with human resources experience preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of recruitment and selection processes, along with strong organizational and written communication skills. Proficiency in computer applications such as Word and Excel is essential. The role requires a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle that meets State of Maine insurance requirements. Candidates must also meet all agency and State Child Care Licensing regulations concerning background checks and physical examinations. An associate’s degree in business or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience in a relevant setting.
The HR Coordinator will be responsible for managing the entire recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and conducting interviews. They will facilitate onboarding procedures for new hires, ensuring all documentation and compliance requirements are met. The role involves maintaining accurate employee records, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and assisting with HR policy implementation. The Coordinator will also provide administrative support to HR team members, coordinate training sessions, and assist in maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. Additionally, the role requires handling multiple priorities efficiently, meeting deadlines, and contributing to continuous process improvements within the department.
