HR Generalist
Minimum 3 years of experience as a HR Generalist
Venteon is currently seeking an HR Generalist to fill an opening with a manufacturing company located in De Smet, SD
this is a Remote Position with travel to De Smet, SD every 5-6 weeks for 1-2 days. All Travel is paid for.
This position is not open for C2C
You must be a citizen of the USA or Green Card Holder to apply
Requirements of the HR Generalist
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferred.
- 3+ years experience in a Human Resources role required.
- Must have HRIS experience (ADP experience preferred, not required).
- Demonstrated expertise in multiple HR disciplines, thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Suite (particularly Outlook and Excel) required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Must be able to adapt to changing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Exhibits positive attitude with a high level of integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
- Ability to work on-site in De Smet, SD

Responsibilities of the HR Generalist
- Identifies and sources candidates, coordinates and conducts interviews, and participates in job and career fairs as needed to support hourly recruitment efforts.
- Provides support for exempt, salaried recruitment efforts as needed.
- Assists with onboarding, orientation, and training.
- Processes payroll as needed.
- Assists with open enrollment and benefits administration, including reporting and billing.
- Provides administrative support including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer human resource programs including but not limited to disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, morale; and training and development.
- Manage unemployment responses from start to finish, including preparation of initial responses and providing requested documentation in a timely manner.
- Creates and implements employee engagement plans and activities.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Monitors, maintains, and tracks employee geofences and attendance.
- Maintains knowledge of regulatory changes, trends, and best practices in human resources and employment law.
