Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Safety, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting workplace safety programs and OSHA knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted resource to employees and managers on HR policies and employee relations.
• Lead site safety initiatives, safety committee activities, audits, incident investigations, and recordkeeping.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and retention for hourly and salaried staff.
• Coordinate workers' compensation claims and return-to-work processes.
• Maintain HR data in HRIS and related systems and ensure data accuracy.

If you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can make a meaningful impact every day, we'd love to hear from you.This Human Resources Generalist role is based 100% on-site at our manufacturing facility in Southfield, Michigan, supporting our newly acquired IDP brand.We are growing and there has never been a more exciting time to join us!Come see who we are at: https://www.assaabloy.com/group/en/about-us**What would you do as our Human Resources Generalist?**You'll work closely with the HR Director, you'll support a variety of human resources and safety initiatives that help create a positive employee experience, foster a strong culture of safety, and support the day-to-day needs of our manufacturing operation.**You will also:*** Serve as a trusted resource to employees and managers by providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, employee relations matters, workplace investigations, accommodations, performance concerns, and other personnel issues.* Lead and support site safety initiatives, including safety committee activities, training, audits, incident investigations, corrective actions, and recordkeeping.* Support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and retention initiatives for hourly and salaried employees.* Coordinate workers' compensation claims and assist with return-to-work processes.* Support employee engagement, recognition, and development programs that enhance the employee experience.* Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and applicable safety regulations.* Maintain accurate employee records and HR data within HRIS and related systems.* Build strong relationships with employees through regular communication and a visible presence on the manufacturing floor.* Partner with the HR Director on special projects and other HR and safety initiatives that support the needs of the business.**The Skills and Experience You Need*** Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Safety, or a related field preferred.* Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment.* Experience supporting workplace safety programs and a working knowledge of OSHA requirements.* Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.* Excellent interpersonal, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.* Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive matters with professionalism.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms; experience with SuccessFactors and ADP eTime is a plus.* Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.* Professional HR certifications (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) are a plus.**What we offer:** We believe in creating opportunities and providing benefits that empower you to grow, thrive, and build a rewarding lifelong career with us.
