Qualifications

Rubikk's Client is expanding its human resources team to support a growing hybrid workforce in Skokie. The Human Resources Generalist will manage core HR processes, foster a positive employee experience, and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws while contributing to strategic planning, talent acquisition, and workforce management. This role blends hands-on HR operations with cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational success.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end talent acquisition, sourcing candidates through multiple channels, conducting interviews, and coordinating onboarding to attract top talent.
• Design and roll out orientation programs that introduce new hires to policies, culture, and expectations.
• Coordinate performance evaluations, provide feedback support, and drive performance management initiatives.
• Administer benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Assist with change management initiatives by supporting organizational design projects and facilitating communication during transitions.
• Maintain HR information systems (HRIS) for accurate data collection, reporting, and analysis, leveraging Excel for insights.
• Address employee relations issues with professionalism, applying conflict resolution skills to resolve concerns promptly while preserving confidentiality.
• Ensure compliance with employment and labor law, workers' compensation policies, FMLA regulations, affirmative action planning, and other legal requirements.
• Coordinate training and development programs to enhance workforce skills and support succession planning.
• Support HR department activities including payroll processing, personnel administration, HR sourcing strategies, and project management tasks.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in HR roles covering the responsibilities listed.
• Proven experience in HR management with a solid understanding of employment law as it relates to talent management.
• Strong knowledge of human capital management principles, workforce management strategies, and organizational design best practices.
• Proven ability to recruit using ATS and HRIS platforms such as Oracle HCM or equivalent systems.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of handling confidential information discreetly and engaging diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for data entry, reporting, and strategic planning.
• Experience administering benefits programs, payroll processing, and employee evaluations.
• Familiarity with FMLA regulations, workers’ compensation procedures, affirmative action planning, and employment & labor law compliance.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle employee relations tactfully while promoting a positive workplace culture.
• Relevant certifications or training in HR legal compliance or personnel administration are preferred but not required.
• Manage immigration-related compliance.
