Job summary

Orgill in Sikeston, MO, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to supervise daily HR office activities and provide hands-on support to employees and leaders across the distribution center. You will handle employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, leave administration, training, safety, and compliance, with a Monday–Friday core schedule and flexible coverage for multiple shifts.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience preferred, ideally in distribution, manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics.
  • Working knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, employment law, FMLA, ADA, payroll, benefits, and HR compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and support HR office staff while coordinating daily priorities and workflow.
  • Serve as a front-line HR partner by interpreting policies, answering employee and leader questions, and resolving workplace concerns.
  • Conduct employee investigations and support performance management, corrective action, conflict resolution, and employee relations.
  • Oversee recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, orientation, and temporary staffing partnerships.
  • Administer and support FMLA, ADA accommodations, disability programs, modified duty, payroll, and benefits processes.
  • Analyze turnover, retention, absenteeism, recruiting, productivity, and other HR data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Support employee engagement, training, leadership development, succession planning, and workforce planning.
  • Promote consistent HR practices and compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Partner with and provide backup support to the Human Resources Manager.

Position Summary

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
