Job summary

Orgill is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to support daily HR operations, including recruiting, onboarding, employee records, payroll and benefits support, employee relations, safety coordination, and HR compliance. The role primarily serves Monday–Friday, with flexibility to cover multiple shifts across locations.

You will work with hiring leaders to understand staffing needs, maintain accurate job descriptions, and respond to employee questions about HR policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of HR, recruiting, payroll or related admin experience.
  • Working knowledge of HR practices and regulations.
  • Experience with HRIS/ATS or HR software preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate full-cycle recruiting, including postings, screening, interviews, offers, and pre-employment checks.
  • Partner with hiring leaders to define staffing needs and keep job descriptions up to date.
  • Process new-hire paperwork and conduct onboarding/orientation.
  • Answer employee questions on HR policies, payroll, benefits, and procedures.
  • Maintain confidential employee records in HRIS.
  • Support employee relations, performance management, engagement and policy administration.
  • Assist with payroll, benefits, leave docs, and HR reporting.
  • Coordinate safety communications, training records, and injury-prevention efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment and safety laws.

Position Summary

The Human Resources Specialist supports daily HR operations and serves as an accessible resource for employees and leaders. Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring leaders to understand staffing needs and maintain accurate job descriptions and selection criteria.

  • Process new-hire paperwork and conduct onboarding and orientation.

  • Respond to employee questions and provide guidance on HR policies, payroll, benefits, and workplace procedures.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential employee records in HR information systems.

  • Support employee relations, performance management, engagement activities, and policy administration.

  • Assist with payroll, benefits administration, leave documentation, and HR reporting.

  • Coordinate safety communications, training records, action plans, and injury-prevention activities in partnership with HR and operations leaders.

  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment and workplace safety requirements.


Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or related education preferred.

  • At least one year of human resources, recruiting, payroll, benefits, or related administrative experience.

  • Working knowledge of HR practices and employment regulations.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, manage multiple priorities, and work accurately in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with an HR information system (HRIS), applicant tracking system (ATS), or other HR software preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace preferred.
