POSITION SUMMARYThe HR Generalist supports the full employee lifecycle across Spire Healthcare Management’s corporate and branch operations. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role handles day-to-day HR operations — recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits and leave administration, and HRIS data integrity — while maintaining the personnel compliance standards required of an accredited DMEPOS supplier. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with branch managers and field staff, and understands that in a regulated healthcare environment, complete and audit-ready personnel records are not optional.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESRecruiting & Onboarding• Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screening, reference checks, motor vehicle record (MVR) reviews for driving positions, and license or certification verification where applicable.• Conduct new-hire onboarding and orientation, ensuring Form I-9, tax forms, policy acknowledgments, and required trainings are completed on time.Compliance & Accreditation Readiness• Maintain complete, audit-ready personnel files that meet ACHC/CHAP accreditation standards and CMS DMEPOS supplier standards.• Conduct and document initial and monthly exclusion screening (OIG LEIE, SAM.gov, and applicable state Medicaid exclusion lists) for all employees.• Track expiring licenses, certifications, driver’s licenses, and required annual trainings (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, compliance/fraud-waste-abuse) and follow up with employees and managers before lapse.• Support competency documentation and annual performance evaluation tracking for clinical and field personnel.• Assist with internal personnel file audits and prepare HR documentation for accreditation surveys and payer audits.Employee Relations• Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, procedures, pay, and benefits.• Assist with investigations of workplace concerns, document findings, and support corrective action processes in partnership with the Director of Human Resources.• Coach branch managers on consistent application of policies, attendance standards, and documentation practices.Benefits, Leave & Workers’ Compensation• Administer benefits enrollment, life-event changes, and open enrollment; respond to employee benefit inquiries.• Coordinate FMLA, state leave, and ADA accommodation processes, including interactive-process documentation.• Manage workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work coordination.HRIS, Payroll Support & Reporting• Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS (Eddy), including new hires, job changes, terminations, and compensation updates.• Support payroll processing by reviewing timekeeping exceptions, PTO balances, and pay changes prior to each pay cycle.Policies, Training & Engagement• Coordinate employee training programs and track completion.• Support offboarding, including exit interviews, final pay coordination, equipment and badge return, and system access removal.• Perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSRequired• 2–4 years of progressive HR generalist or HR coordinator experience.• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, and I-9/E-Verify requirements.• Experience maintaining confidential personnel records and handling sensitive employee matters with discretion.• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES• Strong attention to detail and follow-through; able to manage recurring compliance deadlines without reminders.• Clear, professional written and verbal communication with employees at every level.• Sound judgment and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.• Ability to prioritize competing requests from multiple branches and departments.• Comfort with data entry, spreadsheets, and basic reporting.E04JI802pvh8409duh1
