Responsibilities

Who we are

Job Summary: Responsible for Human Resources related duties at the professional level including recruiting, employee relations, training, policy administration, compensation, HRIS entry, benefits, employee communication and safety administration.

  • Manages the consistent administration of human resources policies and practices.
  • Responsible for recruitment, interviewing and selection of hourly positions for assigned facility
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with plant leadership and employees to coordinate human resources actions and address any employee issues (transfers, hiring, compensation increases, promotions and employee concerns).
  • Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to HR Manager/Management team for corrective action and continuous improvement
  • Communicates Human Resources information in shift meetings
  • Ensures that the administration of compensation and benefits programs at the location are in line with corporate programs.
  • First point of contact for employee questions and employee relations issues for assigned facility.
  • Assists in conducting new hire orientation
  • Maintains Safety training data for assigned facility
  • Maintains HRIS and Time and Attendance system data for assigned facility
  • Ensures that employee records are accurate and complete.
  • Supports goals and objectives of the HR Department on a corporate, regional, and local level
  • Maintains confidentiality, integrity, and ethical standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of Human Resources experience
  • HRIS, time and attendance and payroll system experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Peoplesoft and ADP experience preferred
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Spanish language skills preferred
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task multiple priorities, activities and deadlines
  • Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work with employees at all levels
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-starter and able to work independently
  • Able to work positively and productively in a fast-paced environment

The opportunity

Acts as a business partner to management in carrying out Human Resources related duties and serves as a resource to employees. This opportunity is based in our Sales Marketing and Distribution Team.

The role

  • Manages the consistent administration of human resources policies and practices to ensure fair and equitable treatment.
  • Oversees employee lifecycle for assigned facility, including hourly hiring, onboarding, exit interviews and out-processing procedures.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with leadership and employees to carry out key human resources initiatives, communicate important information and address any employee concerns.
  • Conducts investigations to effectively resolve employee grievances and administers any necessary coaching and corrective action.
  • Plans and executes required corporate training and engagement activities for global and sector alignment.
  • Maintains data integrity in personnel files and HRIS system.
  • Coordinates programs and events to foster a culture of employee recognition and appreciation.
  • Ensures that employee records are accurate, complete and legally compliant.
  • Supports goals and objectives of the HR Department on a corporate, regional and local level.
  • Leads metrics tracking and corporate reporting needs for assigned action
  • Manages human resources projects to meet annual department goals and objectives.
  • Maintains confidentiality, integrity, and ethical standards while carrying out all responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

The requirements

  • University Degree
  • 5-9 Years relevant experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in utilizing and maintaining a full functional integrated HRIS system (Oracle platform preferred)
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-starter and able to work independently
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility to changing work priorities
  • Very strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Hearing is required in order to hear instructions, receive information from various sources, and understand safety warnings
  • Vision is required in order to read instructions, interpret data, and formulate metrics
