Job summary

Beretta USA Corp. is seeking a Human Resources Generalist who will manage a broad range of HR responsibilities across the employee lifecycle, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance.

The role partners with leaders and employees, drives HRIS and process improvements, maintains policies, conducts investigations when needed, and supports training and engagement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
  • Five or more years of Human Resources experience in a Generalist role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with emphasis on employee relations, recruitment, and benefits administration.

About the role

The Human Resources Generalist manages and handles a broad range of HR responsibilities across the employee lifecycle, requiring a full understanding of all HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, compliance, leave administration, benefits administration, onboarding, offboarding, employee engagement, recognition, performance support, and HR systems.

This role serves as a hands-on HR partner to employees and leaders, managing day-to-day HR matters, resolving issues, supporting decision-making, and ensuring HR practices are applied consistently and effectively. The Human Resources Generalist independently handles core HR processes, contributes to workplace investigations, maintains policy and compliance practices, supports performance management, drives HRIS and process improvements, and helps strengthen overall HR service delivery across Beretta.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and handle HR department responsibilities, including maintaining compliant employee files, preparing HR correspondence, processing employment verifications, ensuring employment posters remain current, responding to employment-related inquiries, and maintaining accurate HR records.
  • Partner with employees and management to interpret, apply, and communicate Human Resources plans, policies, procedures, employment laws, standards, and government regulations.
  • Lead employment investigations and make recommendations regarding disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Manage updates and support ongoing maintenance of employee handbooks, policies, and procedures while ensuring alignment with legal, ethical, state, and federal compliance requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of human resources trends, best practices, regulatory changes, new technologies, talent and performance management, employee engagement, and employment law; recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve HR efficiency and service delivery.
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified applicants for exempt, non-exempt, and temporary positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand role requirements, skills, and competencies.
  • Manage accurate and timely job postings on the company careers site, external posting sites, and social media platforms.
  • Coordinate and participate in onsite and offsite hiring events and recruiting initiatives.
  • Manage and conduct employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes to ensure a consistent employee experience.
  • Support the performance management process by managing review documentation, tracking completion, monitoring records, and maintaining accurate performance information within the HCM platform and personnel files.
  • Manage employee benefits administration, including enrollments, cancellations, employee inquiries, issue resolution, and invoice reconciliation.
  • Lead and support employee training, development initiatives, and compliance-related learning requirements.
  • Manage and support HRIS programs, tools, and process improvements designed to improve management effectiveness, employee performance, productivity, engagement, and business results.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage employee engagement and recognition programs and events.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with, or the ability to quickly learn, the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
Experience & Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and industry-specific experience, required.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
  • Five or more years of Human Resources experience in a Generalist role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with emphasis on employee relations, recruitment, and benefits administration strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements

This position primarily requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The role may require occasional travel locally, within the United States, and to other employment locations. Employees must be able to lift and transport up to 15 pounds as needed.

This position typically operates in a professional office environment and may also require occasional presence in manufacturing, distribution, or operational areas. When entering operational areas, employees may be exposed to typical manufacturing noise, industrial lighting, machinery, and other conditions associated with a manufacturing environment. Required personal protective equipment must be used when applicable and in accordance with company safety requirements.
