Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. seeks an HR Generalist to support human resources functions under the guidance of the HRBP.

You will receive training in policies, benefits, safety, compensation, training and development, and employee relations, and provide staff support to the HRBP in executing personnel responsibilities. The role requires demonstrating competency across on-the-job activities impacting product safety, legality and quality.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in HR Management or related field.
• Experience in HR policies, employee relations and benefits administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• To learn and understand the company's human resources and employee relations policies, procedures and programs.
• Assists with personnel administration, wage and salary administration, management training and development, safety, benefits administration, employee communications, staffing, legal compliance and employee relations.
• Develop skills in HR functions to fulfill future HRBP roles.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.

Bringing Home the Dough

Under the direction and guidance of the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), the HR Generalist will receive training in the management of the human resource function including human resource policies and procedures, benefits, safety, compensation, training and development, employee relations and communications. Provides assistance in a staff capacity to the HRBP in implementing personnel and employee relations responsibilities. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on product safety, legality and/or quality.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

• To learn and understand the company's human resources and employee relations policies, procedures and programs.
• Under the direction of the HRBP, assists with company-wide activities of personnel administration, wage and salary administration, management training and development, safety, benefits administration, employee communications, employee activities, staffing, legal compliance and employee relations.
• To develop skills, knowledge and experience of the Human Resources function as applied with Flowers in order to fulfill future positions of HRBP.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.
• Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
• Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.
