Description:

The Human Resources Generalist oversees the day-to-day HR operations for the New York Yankees' part-time, game day and seasonal workforce, serving as a key resource for employees and managers in areas including onboarding, employee relations, labor relations, timekeeping, scheduling, and workforce administration. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (Spanish), collaborative, professional, solutions-orientated, and have a strong foundation in developing and administering HR best practices in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary HR partner for all part-time, game day and seasonal staff, delivering comprehensive support across the employee lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and administer onboarding processes, including new hire documentation, background screening, orientation and employment compliance requirements.
  • Manage employee relations matters by partnering with managers and employees to investigate and address workplace concerns, interpret and apply policies, provide coaching, and administer corrective action when appropriate.
  • Lead offboarding activities, including separations, exit interviews, termination documentation, unemployment claims management, and compliance with applicable employment laws and company policy.
  • Oversee workforce administration processes, including scheduling, time and attendance tracking, and payroll-related inquiries.
  • Design, implement and manage the organization's summer internship program, overseeing recruitment support, onboarding, programming, employee engagement activities, and overall program execution.
  • Support the development, communication and administration of HR policies, programs and employee initiatives that foster compliance, engagement and apositive work environment.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data; prepare workforce reports, process employment verification requests, and ensure data integrity across HR systems.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on labor relations matters, responding to union inquiries and supporting the negotiation and administration of multiple collective bargaining agreements.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of progressive human resources experience with demonstrated knowledge of HR practices, policies and employment regulations.
  • Experience managing employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, conflict resolution, performance management and corrective action.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and communicate professionally with employees, managers, union representatives, and external partners.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends as business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting large part-time, seasonal, and/or event-based workforces.
  • Experience assisting with labor negotiations, supporting union-represented employees, and interpreting and administering collective bargaining agreements.
  • Experience using ADP Workforce Now, ADP Workforce Manager, Microsoft CRM and ABI databases.

The salary range for this position is $75,000 – $90,000 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
