Job summary

Hunter Quinn Homes is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support day-to-day execution of people strategies. The role partners with leaders to ensure policy consistency, compliance with employment laws, and a culture of accountability and collaboration.

The position covers payroll administration, onboarding, recruiting support, benefits coordination, and HR operations to deliver an exceptional employee experience across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-6 years of progressive Human Resources experience supporting multiple business functions.
  • Experience administering payroll and partnering with Finance to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee relations, investigations, policy interpretation, and employment law compliance.
  • Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and leave management.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, HR best practices, and payroll regulations.
  • Experience working within an HRIS platform; Paycor experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR technology platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR partner for assigned business leaders and employees by providing guidance on employee relations, company policies, workplace issues, and HR best practices.
  • Coach leaders through employee performance concerns, corrective action, investigations, conflict resolution, and difficult employee conversations while ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Administer the company's payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, auditing payroll data, and coordinating employee changes affecting payroll.
  • Maintain employee records, payroll information, HRIS data, and personnel documentation while ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities to deliver a seamless employee experience and ensure completion of all required employment documentation.
  • Partner with hiring managers throughout the recruiting process by coordinating interviews, preparing offer letters, facilitating pre-employment activities, and supporting a positive candidate experience.
  • Serve as a resource for employee questions regarding benefits, payroll, leave programs, and company policies while partnering with the Total Rewards team on benefits administration.
  • Coordinate leave administration, employee status changes, benefit deductions, garnishments, and other employment-related transactions.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and HR recordkeeping requirements.
  • Assist with unemployment claims, employment verifications, audits, government reporting, and other compliance-related activities.
  • Prepare employment letters, policy communications, organizational updates, and other HR-related correspondence.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, company events, and culture-building activities that strengthen the employee experience.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR and payroll processes, recommend solutions, and support implementation of process improvements.
  • Develop strong relationships with leaders and employees by providing responsive, high-quality HR support and exceptional customer service.
