This on-site role supports employee relations, benefits administration, and recruitment, aligning HR programs with factory operations and safety requirements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of HR experience, a proactive mindset, and the ability to balance employee advocacy with business objectives within a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing or multi-site setting.
• Experience in employee relations, benefits administration, leave management, and recruiting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted HR partner to employees and leaders, guiding on employee relations, policies, performance management and workplace concerns.
• Investigate employee complaints and policy violations while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring resolution.
• Administer and manage benefits programs, enrollments, open enrollment, vendor coordination and issue resolution.
• Oversee leave of absence programs (FMLA, state leaves, ADA accommodations, workers' comp) and return-to-work processes.
• Lead full-cycle recruitment and onboarding including workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing, offers, and orientation.

Fluid Motion, LLC is seeking an HR Generalist specializing in Benefits and Employee Relations. This is an on-site position Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

The HR Generalist/ Benefits & Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for supporting key human resources functions with a primary focus on employee relations, benefits administration, leave of absence management, and talent acquisition. This position serves as a trusted resource to employees and managers, ensuring consistent application of company policies, compliance with employment laws, and delivery of programs that support employee engagement and organizational success. The ideal candidate is a proactive HR professional with strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to balance employee advocacy with business objectives.

Duties

• Serve as a trusted HR partner to employees and leaders, providing guidance on employee relations, company policies, employment practices, performance management, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns.
• Investigate employee complaints, conduct issues, and policy violations while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring appropriate resolution.
• Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including enrollments, life event changes, open enrollment, employee education, vendor coordination, and issue resolution.
• Oversee leave of absence programs, including FMLA, state leave programs, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, military leave, and personal leaves, ensuring compliance and effective return-to-work processes.
• Lead full-cycle recruitment and onboarding activities, including workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing, offer administration, new hire orientation, and integration.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, benefits documentation, and leave administration records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, benefit regulations, and company policies through audits, reporting, documentation, and process oversight.
• Implement and communicate HR policies, programs, and initiatives that support employee engagement, retention, recognition, and a positive workplace culture.
• Partner with leadership on organizational and people-related initiatives, utilizing HR metrics, data analysis, and continuous improvement practices to support business objectives.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Demonstrated experience in employee relations, benefits administration, leave management, and recruiting.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations preferred.
• Manufacturing, marine, or multi-site environment experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature occasionally
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and data entry
• Occasional standing, walking, and reaching
• Ability to lift up to 10-15 pounds, if applicable
• Visual acuity to view screens and read documents
• This is a safety-sensitive position
• Must be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds when necessary
