Job summary

Jobtailor in Los Angeles, CA seeks an HR Generalist to support local initiatives and regional HR programs. You will help attract, develop, retain and engage talent across the organization, and execute essential HR processes for onboarding, leaves, unemployment, and payroll-related activities.

The role requires 2-5 years in Human Resources and a relevant bachelor's degree; HR certification (PHR/SPHR) and Workday experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support HR Manager and HRBP to implement local initiatives and regional programs

• Provide coaching on policies and procedures to associates and supervisors
• Support hiring managers and Talent Acquisition with recruitment plans
• Assist with payroll-related activities and eTime system
• Drive an inclusive and diverse culture in partnership with HRBP
• Administer programs to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction

Responsibilities

• Supports HR Manager and HRBP to successfully implement local initiatives, and execute regional and corporate programs
• Help to create an environment to attract, develop, retain and engage talent throughout the OpCo to deliver business goals
• Execution of transactional core HR processes (e.g. coordinate and conduct new associate orientation, unemployment claims processes, onboarding and exit interviews, transitional return to work, leave administration, OSHA reporting, etc.)
• Provide coaching and guidance to associates and supervisors regarding policy and procedure
• Support hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to support recruitment and staffing plans
• Support and maintain eTime system and payroll-related activities
• Support HRBP to drive an inclusive and diverse culture
• Administer programs to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction levels

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources management preferred and/or an equivalent combination of related training and experience
• Bachelor's degree with major or emphasis in Human Resources, Business Administration or a closely related field required for external candidates but preferred for internal candidates
• Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) Professional Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred
• Workday experience preferred
