Who We Are

At Los Angeles Property Management Group (LAPMG), we’re more than a property management company. We’re a team of passionate professionals dedicated to providing tenants with homes they love and clients with peace of mind. We manage a portfolio of residential and commercial properties across LA with integrity, care, and a relentless drive to be the best.

We believe in doing things the right way, honoring commitments, celebrating each other’s wins, and creating a workplace where people love coming to work each morning. If you’re looking for a team that supports your growth and genuinely values your presence, welcome home.

Why We Need You

People are at the heart of every successful company.

As our Human Resources Generalist, you’ll help make sure our employees have a positive, organized, and consistent experience from their very first day with us through every stage of their employment.

You’ll work closely with our Human Resources Director to support both our office team and field personnel, helping keep onboarding, employee records, training, compliance, and employee communications organized and on track.

This is a role where discretion matters. People will trust you with questions, concerns, and information that requires care and confidentiality. We need someone who can listen without judgment, document accurately, recognize when something needs to be escalated, and treat every employee interaction with professionalism and respect.

When HR is organized, responsive, and fair, employees feel supported and managers have the information they need to lead effectively. That’s why this role matters.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing

As our Human Resources Generalist, you’ll work closely with the Human Resources Director to support the employee lifecycle and help keep our HR operations organized, compliant, and employee-focused.

You’ll also:

  • Prepare and collect required new-hire documentation and assist with new-hire orientation, including company policies, the employee handbook, safety expectations, and timekeeping procedures
  • Coordinate first-day logistics with hiring managers, including workspace, equipment, keys, uniforms, and system access
  • Schedule and track mandatory employee training, including harassment prevention and workplace safety, and maintain completion records
  • Conduct 30- and 60-day employee check-ins, stay interviews, and exit interviews, and communicate relevant themes or concerns to the Human Resources Director
  • Create, organize, and maintain accurate electronic and physical personnel files
  • Maintain records related to leaves of absence, workers’ compensation claims, and accommodation requests under the direction of the Human Resources Director
  • Assist with compliance reporting and provide administrative support for audits, unemployment claims, and employment verification requests
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding company policies, procedures, and HR paperwork, escalating substantive matters to the Human Resources Director
  • Document employee relations concerns and complaints promptly, accurately, and objectively
  • Assist the Human Resources Director with workplace investigations by coordinating interviews, taking notes, gathering documentation, and preparing factual written summaries
  • Coordinate employee offboarding, including exit interviews, final pay documentation, return of company property, and removal of system access
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee, applicant, and company information
  • Communicate regularly with employees, managers, and colleagues by phone, email, text, and other business communication channels
  • Assist with additional HR projects and responsibilities as assigned by management

This is a people-focused, detail-sensitive role where professionalism, confidentiality, organization, and sound judgment matter every day.

You Have These Qualifications
