The State of Missouri's Human Resource Center in Cole County is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to support a range of HR programs and tasks. The role involves recruiting coordination and payroll processing within a dynamic government environment.
Based at the Broadway State Office Building in Jefferson City, you will work with a team of HR professionals to deliver services across recruitment, onboarding, and employee records, while upholding confidentiality and state policies.

Semi-monthly salary: The current rate for this position is $2,365.19. Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).

You will work with a team of dedicated HR professionals in a position that offers the exciting opportunity to work in a variety of human resources areas and programs. The role of Human Resource Generalist is far from one-dimensional. You will undertake a wide range of HR tasks, such as coordinating the recruitment and hiring process and processing payroll-related actions.
Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed).
The person in this position must possess excellent communication, problem-solving, time management, organizational and analytical skills, as well as the ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality. Attendance and dependability are a must. This individual should have experience working independently and in a team environment to achieve goals. They should be highly motivated and have a desire to ensure DSS employees are supported while at work. Knowledge of the State of Missouri’s organizational structure, the principles and practices of human resources, and personnel administration concepts preferred. Experience working in MO Careers and SAMII HR systems strongly desired.
