Job summary

Moxie Pest Control is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide vital HR support to employees across the organization, handling day-to-day operations, inquiries, investigations, and workers' comp claims.

You will partner with managers across multiple locations in Irving, TX, guiding policy application, onboarding, ADA/FMLA leave processing, and strategic People Operations initiatives. Strong communication and discretion are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Advise leaders and employees on sensitive employee relations matters and performance management.
• Assist with internal workplace investigations and document recommendations.

• Process ADA, FMLA, and other leave requests in compliance with laws.
• Facilitate workers' compensation claims from filing to return-to-work.
• Contribute to Open Enrollment, engagement surveys, and org development programs.
• Manage unemployment claim documentation and represent at hearings.
• Analyze HR metrics and generate turnover and retention reports.
• Handle employee inquiries via our internal HR ticketing system.
• Perform additional duties to support People Operations.

Position Summary

As the Human Resources Generalist, you will provide vital HR support to employees across the organization. This role supports day-to-day HR operations, assisting employees with general inquiries, and supporting managers across multiple locations. Key duties include assisting with employee investigations, managing workers' compensation claims, supporting strategic HR projects, and driving key People Operations initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

• Advise team leaders and employees on sensitive employee relations matters, performance management, and disciplinary actions, offering guidance to resolve issues effectively.
• Assist with internal workplace investigations, providing comprehensive documentation and consistent recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure fair and consistent application of human resources policies, procedures, and workplace standards across all facilities.
• Support talent acquisition by guiding candidates through pre-employment steps, onboarding, and leading new-hire orientations.
• Process ADA, FMLA, and other leave of absence requests in compliance with company policy and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Facilitate the workers' compensation claims process from initial filing and review to supporting an employee's return to work.
• Contribute to strategic HR initiatives, including Open Enrollment, employee engagement surveys, and organizational development programs.
• Manage documentation for unemployment claims and represent the company at administrative hearings as necessary.
• Compile and analyze key HR metrics, generating reports on turnover, retention, demographics, and tenure.
• Resolve incoming employee inquiries efficiently through our internal HR ticketing system.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the People Operations team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive HR experience.
