Starting Salary : $70,000

Reporting to the HR Manager, The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Human Resources department with a primary focus on employee onboarding and orientation, training and development, benefits administration, payroll support, and leave management. This role ensures employees receive timely HR support while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.

Responsibility
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents in compliance with corporate guidelines, and state, local, and federal law.
  • Coordinate and track employee training programs, certifications, and development initiatives.
  • Support payroll processes by reviewing employee data, timekeeping records, and payroll-related changes for accuracy.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and recordkeeping related to payroll, benefits, and leave administration.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Participates on employee engagement and safety committees.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Maintain employee record filing system.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Academic/Educational Requirements
  • Associate degree in human resource management, business management, or other related degree required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Required Skills/Experiences
  • At least five years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience with benefit enrollments, new hire orientations, and full-cycle recruiting is mandatory.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Experience with PLEX and ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred.
