Job summary

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compliance and HR best practices in a manufacturing setting.

You will collaborate with the HR team to deliver comprehensive HR services, advise managers and employees, and participate in HR projects and data analysis. Occasional travel may be required; a bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of HR experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent education/experience.
  • 2–4 years of relevant HR experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • HR certification preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential people data.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for employee relations matters, addressing concerns and providing guidance.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring, communicating, and interpreting applicable HR requirements, laws, and regulations.
  • Assist in the performance management process, including goal setting and performance reviews.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance-related matters.
  • Facilitate the administration of the company’s diverse compensation programs that includes both exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Keep HR management informed and seek direction on complex issues.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide feedback to management based on exit interview findings.
  • Facilitate the implementation of small-scale HR projects, events, and programs.
  • Analyze trends and provides summary reports to management.
  • Serve as a trusted HR advisor to employees and managers.
  • Stay informed about HR trends and best practices.
  • Provide counsel to managers and employees regarding policies and career development.
  • Advises managers on interpretation of employment law.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Job Objective:

The Human Resources Generalist is an established performer that supports various HR functions and initiatives that contribute to the overall success of the organization. This role collaborates with the HR team to deliver comprehensive HR services and offers guidance and support with functional areas including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compliance, and HR best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance-related matters.

  • Keep HR management informed and seek direction and advice from management on more complex and controversial issues.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Required Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
