Job summary

Guardian Glass in Corsicana, TX, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support frontline supervisors, manage onboarding, and coordinate recruitment activities. The position offers growth within a driven, results-oriented culture with exposure to safety, engagement, and employee relations programs.

You will handle onboarding, transitions, and accurate recordkeeping while collaborating with leaders to balance employee experience with operational needs. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of HR or HR operations experience.
• Experience with interviewing, onboarding, or employee lifecycle support.
• Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
• Ability to balance employee experience with operational and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support frontline supervisors using PBM principles to drive team performance.
• Lead and coach teams to foster contribution motivation and value creation.
• Coordinate interview schedules and onboarding logistics; serve on interview panels.
• Facilitate onboarding orientation including badging, site access, and I-9 completion.
• Lead HR portions of onboarding to ensure a consistent new hire experience.
• Maintain personnel files, rosters, and ensure recordkeeping compliance.
• Provide regular employee touchpoints to support engagement and address needs.
• Build credibility with employees and leaders through responsiveness and discretion.
• Assist with employee relations including support for FMLA, LOA, and workers' comp.
• Coordinate site safety training and documentation.
• Manage office operations: supplies, swag, and organization.
• Coordinate vendor relationships and budget-limited decisions.
• Oversee site logistics: visitor access, accommodations, and coordination.
• Plan employee engagement events and activities.
• Support positive employee experience through communication and organization.
• Develop business acumen to align HR with site performance.
• Occasionally work outside standard hours for events and industry gatherings.

What You Will Do

• Develop and support frontline supervisors in applying PBM principles to build engaged teams, enhance performance, and achieve business objectives within their areas of responsibility
• Lead and coach teams in fostering a culture of contribution motivation, encouraging employees to maximize their strengths and create value for the organization
• Support and participate in the talent selection process by coordinating interview schedules, managing interview logistics, and serving as an active member of interview panels
• Coordinate and facilitate onboarding/ orientation schedules for the site, including badging, paperwork, site access, and I-9 completion
• Lead HR portions of onboarding/ orientation to ensure a consistent and engaging new hire experience
• Maintain accurate personnel files, employee rosters, and ensure compliance with recordkeeping and audit readiness
• Provide consistent employee touchpoints to support engagement, respond to questions, and address employee needs
• Build credibility and trust with employees and leaders through responsiveness, discretion, and follow-through
• Assist with employee relations activities, including support for FMLA, LOA, and workers' compensation processes
• Facilitate site safety processes including training coordination, documentation, and communication of safety initiatives
• Manage office operations including supplies, swag, and supply room organization to ensure a well-functioning workplace
• Coordinate vendor relationships, utility payments, and make decisions within defined budget thresholds
• Oversee site logistics including visitor access, hotel accommodations, and general site coordination
• Plan and organize employee engagement activities such as events, celebrations, and team-building initiatives
• Support a positive employee experience through proactive communication, organization, and responsiveness
• Develop business acumen to understand key drivers of site performance and align HR and administrative support accordingly
• Occasionally work outside of standard business hours to support business needs, attend industry events, career fairs, etc.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Previous HR experience
• Ability to provide coaching and guidance to supervisors
• Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with the ability to create reports, spreadsheets, and presentations independently
• Willingness to travel up to 10% to other Guardian locations, industry events, career fairs, and business meetings as needed
