Job summary

Michael Aaron Staffing, LLC is partnering with a well-established nonprofit healthcare organization to hire a Junior HR Generalist in Coral Gables. This role supports day-to-day HR across affiliated entities and offers exposure to payroll, benefits, onboarding, HRIS, leave management, and employee engagement.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Human Resources or relevant professional experience.
  • Basic knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, and EEOC guidelines
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Nonprofit experience is a plus
  • UKG Ready experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and HR matters
  • Manage semi-monthly payroll processing across multiple entities, including reconciliation and discrepancy resolution
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans
  • Support open enrollment, qualifying life events, COBRA notifications, and benefit terminations
  • Coordinate with benefit carriers and vendors and assist employees with benefit-related questions
  • Support FMLA, state leave programs, and workers' compensation administration
  • Assist with HR compliance, including federal, state, and local employment regulations
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding, including offer letters, background checks, I-9 compliance, and new hire orientation
  • Support employee relations matters, maintain appropriate documentation, and elevate complex issues when necessary
  • Assist with unemployment claims, employment verifications, and other HR administrative matters
  • Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS system
  • Assist with HR policies, procedures, programs, and required workplace postings
  • Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives
  • Maintain confidential, accurate, and audit-ready HR documentation

A well-established, mission-driven nonprofit healthcare organization is seeking a Junior HR Generalist to support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function across multiple affiliated entities.
