This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys balancing hands‑on HR administration with meaningful employee engagement work. This position is onsite daily in Calabasas.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding – Partner with hiring managers to post openings, review applicants, coordinate interviews, and facilitate an exceptional onboarding experience that sets new hires up for success.
- HR Operations & Administration – Maintain accurate employee data in HR systems, assist with benefits coordination and payroll updates, and ensure timely completion of all required documentation.
- Employee Relations & Support – Serve as a trusted resource for employees, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and workplace best practices with discretion and empathy.
- Compliance & Reporting – Support ongoing compliance initiatives, including labor law postings, policy updates, and required reporting. Track and document trainings, audits, and HR metrics to ensure organizational readiness.
- Culture & Engagement – Help organize team events, recognition programs, and communication initiatives that foster collaboration and connection across the organization.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Experience: 2-3+ years of HR experience within a dynamic, fast‑paced, and small team environment, fashion/retail or similar industry experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge: Working familiarity with California employment laws, HR compliance, and payroll coordination.
- Skills: Strong communication, organization, and follow‑through abilities; comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Tools: Experience with HRIS or payroll systems.
