Polarsemi in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations in a manufacturing environment, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, HRIS administration, and performance management.
You will partner with production teams and plant leadership to ensure a safe, compliant, and productive workplace, maintain confidential records in HRIS, and assist with policies, training, and HR projects.
The Human Resources Generalist supports day-to-day human resources operations for a manufacturing environment, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, HRIS administration, performance management support, training coordination, and HR projects. This role partners with production employees, supervisors, managers, and plant leadership to support a safe, compliant, and productive workplace. The Human Resources Generalist provides responsive service, helps ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices, and contributes to a positive employee experience in a fast-paced manufacturing operation.
Office and manufacturing environment including moderate noise levels, production equipment areas, and required personal protective equipment where applicable. Frequent sitting, keyboard, mouse, and computer screen use for extended periods. Occasional standing, walking through production areas, and lifting of up to 15 pounds may be necessary.
Minimal travel required; approximately 1% or as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; equivalent combination of education and directly related experience may be considered.
One to five years of progressive human resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing, operations, industrial, or plant-based environment.
Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, HR compliance, employee records, and HRIS data entry or reporting.
Experience supporting non-exempt, or production workforces preferred.
Foundational understanding of employment laws and regulations and related workplace compliance requirements.
Familiarity with manufacturing safety practices, attendance policies, timekeeping processes, and employee relations documentation preferred.
This position may work on projects that may require U.S. Permanent Residency or U.S. Citizenship.
