The University System of Georgia is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to support HR activities within its Information Technology Services and Shared Services Center. This full-time position entails providing customer service, managing recruitment, and supporting HR processes, ideal for candidates with a strong HR background and relevant experience.
The University System of Georgia (USG) is comprised of 26 higher education institutions as well as the University System Office (USO). Within the USO, our administrative operations are primarily housed in the Trinity Washington Building located in downtown Atlanta. Our Information Technology Services (ITS) division is located in Athens. The University System of Georgia Shared Services Center (SSC) is located in Sandersville. The Georgia Public Library System is located in Atlanta. The Georgia Archives is located in Morrow. The State of Georgia Records Center is located in Austell.

The USG is now accepting applications for a Human Resources Generalist to provide support for HR operational activities to the employees of the University System Office (USO) ¿ Athens (ITS) and Sandersville (SSC) locations. This position requires comprehensive working knowledge of all functional areas of Human Resources. Performs intermediate level work and acts as a resource in the USO HR department to support functions associated with the human resources process.
ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for duties representative of the following:
Undergraduate degree and 5 years of related experience in Human Resources OR High School diploma and 9 years HR experience
Preferred QualificationsMaster of Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Two years of professional level human resources experience interpreting and advising on policies
