• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
• Experience using basic Microsoft Office Suite and workforce management programs
• Ability to effectively use scheduling software

As a Human Resources Expert, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

• Work with your HR leader to anticipate and address talent and staffing needs, understanding guests’ needs and ensuring the right experience and enthusiasm to deliver excellent in-store and digital shopping experiences.
• Lead recruiting efforts to help store leaders find and hire candidates with the right skills and experiences.
• Support team member and leader training needs and advocate for continuous learning.
• Be an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices.
• Be approachable and available by listening to team members and collaborating with leaders to take action as needed.
• Deliver HR processes and programs to maximize engagement and minimize business disruption.
• Support compliance policies to mitigate risk to the team member experience.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests during daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to help solve their needs and thank them for shopping at Target.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Work safely at all times, report hazards, and correct where possible.
• Perform other duties based on business needs.
