We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Human Resources Manager to join our Skilled Nursing Facility leadership team. The HR Manager will oversee the day-to-day human resources functions of the facility and serve as a resource for employees and department leadership.
The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, approachable, and knowledgeable about employee relations, recruitment, personnel management, and employment compliance. Previous experience in healthcare or long-term care is strongly preferred.
Manage the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding process.
Coordinate new employee orientation and required employment documentation.
Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant personnel files.
Monitor employee licenses, certifications, background checks, and required credentials.
Assist department managers with employee relations, performance issues, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
Address employee concerns and assist with workplace investigations.
Coordinate employee leaves of absence, including FMLA and other applicable leave requirements.
Assist with ADA accommodation requests and return-to-work processes.
Maintain and administer facility employee policies and handbook requirements.
Coordinate employee benefits and assist employees with benefit-related questions.
Assist with payroll, timekeeping, attendance, and employee status changes.
Monitor required employee training and maintain appropriate documentation.
Assist with workers' compensation matters and workplace injury documentation.
Support employee retention and recruitment initiatives.
Assist with regulatory surveys, audits, and compliance activities.
Maintain confidentiality of employee and facility information.
Work closely with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, department heads, and leadership team to ensure effective staffing and employee management.
Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned.
Previous Human Resources experience required.
Healthcare, Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, or senior living experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of employment practices, employee relations, FMLA, ADA accommodations, and workplace compliance.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with facility leadership.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
