Peregrine Hospitality in the Pocono Mountains is seeking a seasoned Director of Human Resources to serve as the on-property HR leader for our resort. You will partner with Regional HR to develop and execute strategies that support engagement, labor relations, benefits, and compliance.

This role requires strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of employment law, HRIS and payroll systems (UKG preferred), and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred, or a minimum of 4 years progressive HR experience.
  • Prior hotel or resort HR experience preferred.
  • Proven experience leading others.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, recruiting, employee relations, and talent retention.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (UKG preferred).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive matters.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as necessary.

Responsibilities

Job description

HR Director serves as the on-property HR leader and primary support for all HR needs. Will partner with Regional HR to develop and execute HR strategies. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for supporting employee engagement, labor relations, benefits, administration, workers comp, learning and development, compliance, and recruiting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or a related field preferred, or a minimum of 4 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Prior hotel or resort HR experience preferred.
  • Proven experience effectively leading others.
  • Strong background in employment law, recruiting, employee relations, and talent retention.
  • Proven experience leading employee engagement, performance management, and talent development initiatives.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems required; UKG experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong understanding of EEO, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, and other applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to effectively advise and influence property leadership on HR matters.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion, and integrity when handling sensitive employee and business matters.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment and remain flexible through changing priorities.
  • Be detail oriented and able to multi-task efficiently in a high-volume operation.
  • Foster a positive culture within the hotel to include leading by example and providing guidance and support to all management and team members.
