Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Central Florida – Sumter County is hiring a Human Resources Director in Wildwood, FL. You will lead a comprehensive HR function, shaping policy, ensuring compliance, and fostering a compassionate workplace aligned with Encompass Health's mission.

The role focuses on employee relations, recruitment, benefits, and staff development within a nationally recognized inpatient rehabilitation organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; degree can be substituted by 4-year equivalent with year-for-year experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years of Human Resources Management experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and oversee all facets of the HR department to ensure equitable treatment of all employees and compliance with legal requirements and policies.
• Serve as a liaison between Home Office HR and hospital management to support department managers and staff.
• Coordinate staff education programs, oversee workers' compensation and assist with benefits administration.
• Direct hospital recruitment and retention programs to ensure staffing resources are available.
• Celebrate the achievements and victories of our dedicated employees.
