Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University is seeking an entry-level Human Resource Coordinator to provide hands-on support to HRBP and Labor/Employee Relations. You will compile workforce metrics, assist onboarding/offboarding, and ensure compliance across the employee lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for HR operations.
  • Prepare and distribute HR-related documentation, correspondence, and reports.
  • Support compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and employment regulations.
  • Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
  • Generate routine and ad hoc reports related to workforce metrics.
  • Assist with data gathering and preparation for audits, regulatory reporting, and HR projects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality and process efficiency.
  • Support annual HR processes including performance management, compensation reviews, compliance training, and open enrollment activities.
  • Assist with documenting and updating HR procedures and workflows.
  • Participate in HR initiatives and special projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of Human Resources, recruiting, administrative, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience working in an HRIS system preferred.
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Lift and carry 25 lbs.
  • frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
