Job summary

SSP America at JFK Airport is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support our restaurant operations team. You will assist with onboarding, employee records, compliance, and day-to-day HR administration in a fast-paced airport environment.

This role requires at least one year of HR experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. You will partner with managers to staff shifts, track training, and handle confidential information while helping employees navigate

• Knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, and employee relations principles.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support the full-cycle onboarding process, including new hire paperwork, orientation, and employment verification.
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
• Assist employees and managers with HR-related questions regarding policies, benefits, and procedures.
• Coordinate and track training, certifications, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with leave administration, attendance tracking, and employee status changes.
• Partner with operational leaders to support staffing, retention, and employee relations efforts.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company employment policies and procedures.
• Provide administrative support to the HR team and assist with special projects as needed.

SSP America is seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Human Resources Coordinator to support our restaurant operations team at JFK Airport. In this role, you’ll serve as a key HR resource for managers and employees, assisting with onboarding, employee relations, compliance, recordkeeping, and day-to-day HR administration.
