Role Overview
The Human Resources Coordinator will help run day-to-day HR activities and act as a go-to contact for employees. The position focuses on coordinating onboarding, maintaining HR systems, supporting payroll and benefits administration, and ensuring adherence to company policies and employment regulations.
This detail-oriented role supports both employee experience and administrative accuracy across HR and payroll.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations and Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and internal systems
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies
- Assist with audits and documentation requirements
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information
Payroll and Financial Support
- Assist with payroll processing, timekeeping reviews, and data validation
- Coordinate with finance and leadership to support payroll accuracy and timely processing
- Maintain and organize payroll records, reports, and supporting documentation
- Support upkeep of financial documents related to employee compensation, reimbursements, and benefits
- Assist with tracking labor costs, reports, and internal documentation as needed
Onboarding and Employee Lifecycle
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and required documentation
- Manage offboarding processes, including exit interviews and final paperwork
- Track employee status changes, including promotions, transfers, and terminations
Recruiting Support
- Post job openings and manage applicant tracking systems
- Schedule interviews and coordinate with hiring managers
- Assist with background checks and preparation of offer letters
Employee Experience and Engagement
- Support internal communications and HR initiatives
- Assist with training sessions, company meetings, and employee events
- Answer employee questions related to HR policies, payroll, and benefits
Reporting and Compliance
- Prepare HR and payroll-related reports and track key metrics
- Support compliance with wage and hour regulations and internal policies
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of HR, payroll, administrative, or related experience
- Associate degree, HR certification, or equivalent work experience preferred (Bachelor’s degree not required)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems such as ADP or Gusto preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle sensitive financial and employee data with discretion
Compensation and Benefits
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
