Position Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator supports day-to-day HR operations for a network of behavioral health and substance abuse treatment facilities. This role is responsible for coordinating recruitment, onboarding, employee records, training tracking, and HR compliance activities. The coordinator works closely with facility leaders and corporate HR leadership to ensure consistent and efficient HR support across all locations.

Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Onboarding
  • Coordinate job postings and screen applicants across multiple facilities
  • Coordinate onboarding across multiple facilities
  • Ensure accurate completion and collection of new hire documentation (I-9, W-4, credentials)
  • Initiate background checks and drug screenings
Employee Records & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files in compliance with company policy and regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, DCF, SAMHSA)
  • Track licensure, certification renewals, and training compliance for clinical staff
  • Monitor leave requests, FMLA, and ADA accommodation processes
HR Systems & Data Management
  • Enter and update employee information
  • Generate HR reports related to turnover, hiring, training compliance, etc.
  • Support HR audits and accreditation reviews (e.g., The Joint Commission, CARF, DCF)
Employee Relations & Communications
  • Serve as a liaison between facilities and corporate HR regarding HR policies and procedures
  • Respond to routine employee inquiries related to benefits, payroll, and policies
  • Support staff engagement and recognition initiatives
QualificationsRequired:
  • Minimum 2 years of HR experience, preferably in healthcare or behavioral health
  • Familiarity with HR compliance standards (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, EEO)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of state-specific behavioral health regulatory requirements (e.g., DCF, SAMHSA)
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations
