Job Description - Human Resources Coordinator (04599)

What You'll Be Doing

The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator I supports daily HR operations and special projects. Responsibilities include providing HR and administrative support, data entry into HR systems, onboarding, benefits administration, and handling HR inquiries.

During a Typical Day, You'll

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure all paperwork for employee status changes is complete, logged, and filed appropriately.
  • Update Oracle with employee changes from approved requests.
  • Update and distribute employee change reports.
  • Notify IT of access changes due to promotions, transfers, or terminations.
  • Maintain accurate employee files.
  • Refer employee relations issues to the appropriate HR personnel.
  • Ensure proper documentation and coordination for leaves of absence.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee issues.
  • Assist with HR compliance audits.
  • Administer site Perci Perks program and coordinate with Organizational Development.
  • Audit HR courses for compliance.
  • Manage Tuition Reimbursement documentation and processes.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as requested.

Employment

  • Assist with onboarding new hires.
  • Create and audit employee files for accuracy.
  • Ensure I-9 compliance within the first 3 days of employment.
  • Track and document Corrective Actions and PIPs.

HR Systems and Benefits

  • Use HRIS for employee record maintenance and setup.
  • Coordinate health and wellness initiatives.
  • Answer benefits questions and guide employees to resolution.
  • Assist with benefits documentation and issues.
  • Respond to timekeeping inquiries and escalate as needed.

What You Bring to the Role

Education: Associate degree in HR, Organizational Development, or Business Administration preferred.

Experience: 0-1 years in HR or administrative support; proficiency in MS Office; HRIS experience preferred.

Skills: Knowledge of HR functions and laws, professionalism, communication, analytical skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, ability to multi-task, and interpersonal skills.

Other: Willingness to work or travel outside normal hours if necessary.

Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Flexibility to work outside these hours when necessary.
