Job summary

Nashville Public Radio is seeking a proactive Human Resources Coordinator to support the U.S. HR team and assist the Head of HR.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years of HR Generalist experience including recruitment, employee relations, payroll, benefits, and/or compliance.
  • Discreet handling of highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Draft offer letters, separation agreements, employment verification letters, and manage verification requests.
  • Provide support for employee benefits and payroll; oversee payroll report reconciliation.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including leaves of absence and related documentation.
  • Track, maintain, and update personnel files and HRIS systems.
  • Assist with training program tracking, including harassment training.
  • Ensure timely completion and recording of evaluations.
  • Monitor adherence to hybrid work policy, overtime, turnover analysis, and other requirements.
  • Request and monitor background checks for U.S. hires and reconcile related invoices.
  • Provide administrative support for subpoenas, visas, and government filings.
  • Maintain tracking, purchasing, and distribution of anniversary gift cards.
  • Design, write, and distribute the US HR Newsletter; maintain US HR materials on intranet.
  • Support updates to US policies and manuals, respond to ad-hoc requests, assist with Wellness Program initiatives, and monitor the US HR inbox.

Human Resources Coordinator
Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Human Resources Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. The Human Resources Coordinator will be a key member of the U.S. Human Resources team and provide support to the U.S. Head of Human Resources and members of the U.S. Human Resources team.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time. The ideal candidate must also demonstrate discretion and uphold confidentiality at all times. This opportunity would be an excellent advancement for someone with some experience in Human Resources looking to further develop their career in the field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Draft offer letters, separation agreements, employment verification letters, and manage employment verification and reference requests

  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for all employees, including leave of absence requests and related documentation

Minimum Qualificafications
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist, demonstrating proficiency in various HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, payroll, benefits, and / or compliance
  • Discreet handling of highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Self-starter mentality and ability to work well independently, as well as with a team
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication ability
