Job description

Overview Merrick & Company is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to lead our onboarding process along with supporting our HR team. This is a great opportunity for a candidate with 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources and/or Office Administration to expand their talent and depth of experience. Let's grow together! Merrick currently has more than 25 offices in the United States, Canada, UK, and Mexico. This position reports to a Human Resources Business Partner, while having responsibilities that support the HR team. This position located at our Greenwood Village office. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Conducts orientation for Merrick new hires. Responsible for the new hire processing of employees. This includes adding information into the HRIS and completing other data entry as required for new hire paperwork within the required timeframes. Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department and the company. Assist in first line inquiries for employees and managers in a professional and helpful manner by asking questions or directing them to the appropriate HR contact. Responsible for maintaining appropriate HR systems and monitoring for compliance such as employment posters, I-9's, employee files. Supports and assists the Sr. VP of OD and HR with company talent development programs. Education and Experience Must have at least 1 year of experience working in an HR department. 2-3 years preferred. GED or High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is a plus! Experience with multiple office locations strongly preferred. Experience working directly with employees on answering questions related to HR content areas required. HRIS experience preferred. Experience with UKG/Ulti a plus. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Local candidates strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Exceptional attention-to-detail with a focus on delivering quality, while meeting deadlines. Must be comfortable and confident with presentations, in person and virtually. Mindset for continuous improvement with our HR processes. Ability to collaborate on creative solutions with HR Team. Highly proficient with Microsoft Office tools required (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Must be professional, and work with ethics and integrity, treating all information in a confidential manner. Must meet expectations of attendance and punctuality. Communication: strong verbal, written and presentation skills required. Customer Focused: dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers, establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect. Physical Requirements Requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation. Be able to work in an environment with open discussions and visitors without getting distracted. This position is also eligible for annual performance and spot bonuses. Typical wage range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00 per hour. The pay range listed in this posting indicates the position’s eligibility to work in the state of Colorado and is consistent with our offices there; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
